Barreras Jewelry is more than just another jewelry store. We are a family of artisans who have spent decades mastering the craft of jewelry through hands-on work at the bench. Designing, manufacturing, repairing, and restoring pieces with precision and care.

Our story is rooted in a long lineage of master jewelers that began in the 1950s, when the foundations of our family’s trade were first established. Founded by Master Jeweler Cesar Barreras, that legacy continues today through 3 generations of experience, dedication to quality, and a deep respect for the craft that defines everything we create.

Where It All Began

The roots of Barreras Jewelry trace back to a deep fascination with craftsmanship that began decades ago. As a young boy in Cuba, Cesar Barreras (Owner & Founder) discovered a book that described the tools and techniques used by traditional metal artisans. One tool in particular, a specialized hammer used by master metalworkers, sparked his curiosity and ignited early interest in the trade.

That curiosity soon turned into hands-on experience. Growing up around his father’s workshop, Cesar began learning the fundamentals of jewelry making at the bench. He watched closely and gradually developed his own skills. One of his earliest creations, a simple nameplate, became a proud moment not only for him but for his father as well. His father celebrated the accomplishment and showed the piece to everyone who stepped into the workshop.

In 1995, Cesar brought that same dedication and passion for the craft to the United States and began a new chapter in Tampa, Florida. Through years of persistence, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to quality, he continued refining his skills and building relationships within the industry.

Step by step, that journey led to what Barreras Jewelry is today. A family-owned business with its own retail and manufacturing space in Tampa, where craftsmanship, precision, and pride in the work continue to guide everything we create.
