At Barreras Jewelry, we take pride in the quality of our craftsmanship and the care we put into every piece. Please review our return and refund policy carefully before completing your purchase.

 

Returns for Ready-Made Jewelry

In-Store Purchases

Returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase provided that the item:

  • Shows zero signs of wear, misuse, or damage

  • Is unworn and unaltered

  • Is returned with all original packaging and sales documentation

Approved in-store returns will be issued as store credit for the total amount of the original purchase.

If an exchange does not meet or exceed the original purchase amount, any remaining balance may be refunded or issued as store credit at the discretion of Barreras Jewelry.

Online Purchases

Online purchases are eligible for return or exchange within 14 days of delivery, provided the item:

  • Is new, unworn, and unaltered

  • Shows no scuffs, scratches, debris, residue, or grime, including under stones or in hard-to-reach areas

  • Is returned with original packaging and documentation

Approved online returns will be refunded to the original form of payment.


Exchanges

  • In-store exchanges: Up to 30 days

  • Online exchanges: Up to 14 days from delivery

Exchanges may be made for items of equal, greater, or lesser value, provided all return conditions are met.

 

Restocking Fees & Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable

  • Returned items deemed to have a manufacturing defect may still be subject to a 10% restocking fee

  • All returned items are subject to inspection and approval by Barreras Jewelry

 

Custom & Personalized Orders

Custom and personalized items are handled differently due to the nature of the work involved.

Deposits

  • Custom orders require a deposit

  • 50% of the deposit is non-refundable

  • The non-refundable portion accounts for design time, labor, materials, and related expenses

Deposits may be eligible for a full refund only if no CAD/CAM design work or production has begun, at the sole discretion of Barreras Jewelry.

Custom Order Eligibility

Custom and personalized items include, but are not limited to:

  • Hand or laser engraved items

  • Fully custom jewelry projects

  • Custom stone selections

  • Made-to-order items based on a client’s original design

These items are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or store credit once delivered or picked up.

 

Made-to-Order (Existing Designs)

Items made to order based on an existing Barreras Jewelry design:

  • May be eligible for store credit only

  • Must meet all return condition requirements

  • Are not eligible for refunds

 

Cancellations

If a client cancels a custom order at any stage of production:

  • 50% of the deposit will be retained

  • This applies regardless of production stage

  • Barreras Jewelry reserves the right to retain the non-refundable portion to account for time, labor, and expenses incurred

 

Ring Resizing & Alterations

  • One complimentary resizing is offered per ring

  • Resizing must be requested and completed within 30 days of purchase

  • Any additional resizing or adjustments will be subject to standard shop fees

Altered items are final sale and are only eligible for return or exchange in the event of a verified defect.

 

Repairs & Repair Responsibility

Barreras Jewelry does not offer a formal repair warranty.

However, if a repair performed by Barreras Jewelry is deemed faulty and the client returns within 7 days of pickup or delivery, we will assume responsibility for a one-time corrective repair.

All repairs beyond this window, or repairs deemed unrelated to workmanship, are subject to standard charges at the discretion of Barreras Jewelry.

 

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Clients must notify Barreras Jewelry of any damaged, defective, or incorrect items within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.

Failure to notify us within this window may result in repair fees, replacement costs, or denial of service.

If Barreras Jewelry determines an item to be defective due to manufacturing or repair error, the item may be eligible for:

  • One complimentary repair, or

  • One exchange, at our discretion

 

Order Errors

If Barreras Jewelry ships an incorrect item or makes an error:

  • Clients must notify us within 24 hours

  • Barreras Jewelry will cover return shipping

  • The item will be remade or replaced at no cost

Barreras Jewelry reserves the right to charge a restock fee for any items.

Shipping, Insurance & Responsibility

  • All shipments are sent with adult signature required

  • All shipments are fully insured for the value of the item

  • Once an item has been transferred to the carrier, Barreras Jewelry is not responsible for delays, loss, or theft

If a package is marked as delivered but claimed as not received, the client must contact the carrier directly to resolve the matter.

 

Sale Items & Promotions

  • All items purchased during sales or special promotions are final sale

  • Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange

  • Certain promotions may allow exchanges only for items of equal or greater value

 

Store Credit

  • Store credit does not expire

  • Store credit is non-transferable

  • Store credit cannot be redeemed for cash

 

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

All returns or exchanges must be initiated before sending any items back.

Clients may contact us via:

  • Email

  • Text message

  • Website chat by typing “return item”

Response times:

  • Email: within 24 hours

  • Text & chat: typically 1–2 hours during business hours

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

 

Final Policy Notice

  • Barreras Jewelry reserves the right to:
  • Inspect all returned items
  • Deny returns or exchanges that do not meet policy requirements
  • Update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice

By completing a purchase with Barreras Jewelry, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this policy.
